Jesse Young was honored in January 2014 to be appointed as your State Representative, Position 1, for the 26th Legislative District. Commonly referred to as the “Bridge to Bridge” district, the 26th includes parts of Kitsap and Pierce counties.
When growing up in Tacoma’s Hilltop neighborhood, sometimes homeless, sometimes on welfare with his brother and single-parent mom, it was wishful thinking to dream that he’d someday have the honor of sitting in the Legislature.
Jesse Young serves on the Community Development, Housing & Tribal Affairs; Early Learning & Human Services; Government Operations & Elections (Assistant Ranking Republican); and Transportation Committees in the State House of Representatives.
Jesse’s job is to listen, act, and be an effective voice for citizens of the District on the issues we all care about. To find out more about Jesse’s accomplishments in the latest Legislative Session, please visit his Legislative website.
