Hello, my name is Jesse Young, and I am your State Representative in Legislative District 26, position 1.
I was appointed to this position in January of this year and am now running for office for my first elected term as State Representative in LD 26 (which includes parts of Kitsap and Pierce counties).
Having grown up on the streets of Tacoma and experiencing homelessness as a youth I learned to take nothing for granted. Despite a rough start to life, I was blessed to have the opportunity to apply hard work and street smarts to better myself and become Valedictorian of my class and then graduate from Notre Dame.
As your State Representative, I care about making sure that opportunities exist for everyone...
Whether I’m standing against ineffective government and regulations, working to strengthen our schools, or applying my career experience to help get this economy going, I’ll continue working hard to serve you.
I want everyone to always have the freedom to achieve. We need strong leadership that is committed to government reform and focused on job creation and improving our schools.
But I will need your support if we're going to make this happen.
After about half a year of service in the Legislature I am more aware than ever of the amount of work that needs to get done.
